RIDING

Mount Holyoke was idle this past week, but returns to action May 5-8 when it competes at this year's IHSA National Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.

TRACK & FIELD

Mount Holyoke was in action at the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin last weekend, where it finished seventh overall. Leading the way were senior Elizabeth DeLeon (Boise, Idaho) and sophomore Mia Barnes (Thornville, Ohio), who each claimed victory in the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter events, respectively. The Lyons return to action this weekend when they travel to New London, Conn., for the 2016 NEWMAC Championships, hosted by the Coast Guard Academy on Saturday.

LACROSSE

The Lyons shouldered an 0-2 week against #8 Amherst and Wellesley. Senior captain and attack Julia Bell (Longmeadow, Mass.) led the offensive charge for MHC, recording eight goals with two assists. Mount Holyoke (2-11; 1-6 NEWMAC) concludes its regular season schedule on Wednesday when it travels to Smith for a 7pm match against the Pioneers. ROWING

The Lyons powered their way to fifth overall at this year's NEWMAC Championship on Lake Quinsigamond. MHC's varsity eight was fifth in its event, while the second varsity eight also finished fifth in its race. Mount Holyoke returns to action next Saturday when it competes in the New England Championships, once again hosted on Lake Quinsigamond.

GOLF

Mount Holyoke finished third overall at last weekend's Liberty League Championship, hosted by the Lyons at The Orchards Golf Club. Junior captains June Conti (Amenia, N.Y.) and Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn.) were named to the All-League First Team after finishing third and fourth, respectively on the weekend. This year's championship concluded the 2015-16 season for the Lyons.
