RIDING

Mount Holyoke is back in action this weekend when it opens the spring portion of its regular season show schedule on Saturday. The Lyons head to Hadley to compete in the Co-Hosted Show.

SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke finished ninth overall at the 2016 NEWMAC Championships last weekend. Highlighting the event was senior captain Cathleen Pruden (Raleigh, N.C.), who earned NEWMAC Swimmer of the Year honors for the second straight season after winning the 200-IM and the 400-IM, while racing to third in the 1650-free. The Lyons concluded the team portion of their schedule at the conference championships, posting an 8-2 dual meet record during the 2015-16 season.

The Lyons now wait for the official selections to this year's NCAA Tournament, of which Pruden is expected to participate for the third straight season. This year's Nationals will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., beginning March 16-19. Stay tuned for more details early next week.

BASKETBALL

The Lyons concluded their season last week, suffering tough losses to Springfield and Babson in NEWMAC action. Mount Holyoke finished the 2015-16 campaign with an 0-24 mark, going 0-16 in conference play.

SQUASH

Mount Holyoke wrapped-up its schedule last weekend, competing at the 2016 CSA Women's Team Championships, hosted by Yale University. The Lyons shouldered an opening loss to Connecticut College (6-3), but bounced back with victories over Haverford (8-1) and Vassar (7-2) to win the Consolation Final of the Epps Cup. MHC finished the 2015-16 season with an 8-16 overall mark. Though the team season has concluded, selected players are likely to return to action on March 4-6 at the CSA Individual Championships, hosted at the Chelsea Piers Club in Stamford, Conn. More information will follow once selections are announced.

TRACK & FIELD

MHC finished 21st overall at last weekends New England Division III Championships, hosted by Middlebury College. The event, which was for qualified individuals only, saw three Lyons in action led by senior captain Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.) who placed third overall in the 60-meter dash. Next up, Mount Holyoke will be idle this week, but returns to action on March 4-5 as Coklow competes at the 2016 ECAC Indoor Championships, hosted at the New York City Armory.
