Lyons Tales: A Review & Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for Dec. 1st

RIDING

The Lyons were idle last week, but return to action on Saturday when they compete at the Holiday Tournament of Champions in Coolville, Ohio.

 

SWIMMING & DIVING

The Lyons (3-1) were off through the holiday break, but return to action on Saturday when they competes at the Gompei Invitational, hosted by WPI. Action runs through Sunday.

 

SQUASH

The Lyons open the home portion of their 2014-15 schedule on Wednesday when they host Smith at 6:30pm. MHC (3-4) will then see select players travel to Middletown, Conn., to take part in the 2014 Division III Championships, hosted by Wesleyan from Friday through Sunday.

 

BASKETBALL

The Lyons shouldered a loss to Westfield State last week before the holiday break. MHC (1-5) is back on the court on Wednesday when it plays at Albertus Magnus at 7pm. The squad will close out the week on Saturday when it begins NEWMAC play at home versus MIT at 1pm. TRACK & FIELD

Under the direction of 30th-year head coach Tina Lee, the Lyons track and field team opens its 2014-15 campaign on Saturday at the Smith College Invitational. Action in Northampton gets underway at 11am. MHC is coming off a season in which three student-athletes advanced to the ECAC Outdoor Championships, including Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.), who participated in her second straight NCAA Outdoor Championship.
