Alumnae Spotlight: Katie Herrold '00

Katie Herrold ’00 begins most days in Cairo, Egypt by swimming at the local masters club, where she enjoys continuing a sport she dedicated so much of her time as an undergraduate. This past winter, she helped the Gezira Sporting Club take home the title at the Masters National Championship, despite the fact that she’s in the Middle East to conduct research for her PhD.

NEWMAC Announces Winter Academic All-Conference Squads

The NEWMAC recently announced its 2011-12 Winter Academic All-Conference Teams. Seven Mount Holyoke student-athletes were recognized for their achievements in their respective sports as well as in the classroom. Academic All-Conference Teams were selected for the sports of swimming and diving and basketball.

Swimming and Diving Team Collects CSCAA National Academic Honors

Mount Holyoke was recently honored for its outstanding work in the classroom. The Lyons were among the 129 Division III teams from around the nation to achieve CSCAA Scholar All-American status for the 2011 fall semester.

Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Season at NEWMAC Championships
February 19, 2012
Mount Holyoke closed out its season with a tenth place showing at the 2012 NEWMAC Championships this weekend. With sophomore Lauren Williams leading the way, the Lyons shattered six school records and finished with 143 points.
