Lyons Tales: A Review & Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for Feb. 15th

RIDING

Mount Holyoke is idle until February 27th when it travels to Hadley to compete in the Co-Hosted Show.

 

SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke (8-2 dual) returns to the pool on Thursday when it heads to Cambridge, Mass., to compete at the 2016 NEWMAC Championships, hosted by MIT. Action at the meet begins on Thursday (2/18) and runs through Sunday (2/21).

 

BASKETBALL

The Lyons shouldered a pair of NEWMAC losses to Clark and Wellesley last week. Mount Holyoke (0-22; 0-14 NEWMAC) is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Springfield for a 7pm tip-off against the Pride. The game also marks Senior Day for the Lyons three graduating seniors. MHC closes out the regular season on Saturday at Babson College at 1pm. SQUASH

Mount Holyoke is back in action this weekend when it travels to Yale University to compete in the 2016 CSA National Team Championships. Action for the Lyons (6-15) begins on Friday and runs through Sunday, February 21.

 

TRACK & FIELD

MHC was in action last week, competing at the 2016 Gordon Kelly Invite at MIT. The Lyons saw a number of outstanding efforts at the non-scoring meet. Additionally senior captain Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.) was in action at Friday's multi-divisional 2016 Valentine Invite at Boston University, where she finished 11th overall in a field of 104 runners, posting the fourth-best time in Division III this season. Mount Holyoke is back in action this weekend as qualified individuals compete at the Division III New England Championships, hosted by Middlebury College on Friday and Saturday.
