Lyons Tales: A Review & Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for May 4th

TRACK & FIELD

Led by a career-best performance in the 10,000-meter event from senior Dana Fry (Tucson, Ariz.), the Lyons finished 28th overall at the New England Division III Championships last weekend. MHC returns to action this weekend as junior Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.) competes at the 2015 Open New England Championships, hosted by MIT. She will run the prelims of the 100-meter dash on Friday at 3pm. Finals will take place on Saturday.

RIDING

The Lyons finished 10th overall at the 2015 IHSA National Championships last weekend. It was a memorable weekend full of outstanding performances, including a National Champion title in Individual Intermediate Equitation Over Fences for senior Anne Waldo (White Lake, Mich.). MHC concluded its season at Nationals, having won seven of eight regular season shows, along with winning the Zone 1 Championship.

ROWING

The Lyons finished 16th overall on Saturday at the 2015 New England Rowing Championships, hosted on Lake Quinsigamond. MHC also saw its novice eight boat place second in the Petite Final. It's another return trip to Worcester (Lake Quinsigamond) this weekend, as the Lyons are back in action at the ECAC Championships on Sunday
