Lyons Tales: A Review & Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for Jan. 11th

RIDING

The Lyons are idle until January 23rd when they compete at the Winter Tournament of Champions I, hosted in Fredricksburg, Va.

 

SWIMMING & DIVING

MHC (3-1 dual meet) is back in the pool on Tuesday when it travels to Wheaton College where it will face the host Lyons and Clark for a 1pm meet. Mount Holyoke then returns home to square-off against Vassar and Trinity on Thursday at 1pm. BASKETBALL

The Lyons suffered losses to Coast Guard and MIT last week in NEWMAC action. MHC was paced by senior guard Genelle Green (Windsor, Conn.) who averaged 15.5 points and 5.0 rebounds, while adding team-highs in assists and blocks. Mount Holyoke (0-13; 0-5 NEWMAC) continues its three-game homestand on Tuesday when it hosts Wheaton at 7pm. The Lyons round out the week on Saturday, welcoming Emerson at 1pm. SQUASH

Mount Holyoke (3-2) is back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Colby for a 5pm match. The Lyons will then head to matches at Bowdoin (12pm), followed by Bates (5:30pm) on Wednesday. MHC rounds out the week as one of three hosts for the 2016 Pioneer Valley Invitational. Action begins on Friday at 11am as the Lyons take on Wesleyan.

 

TRACK & FIELD

MHC returns to competition on Saturday when it travels to Vermont to take part in the Middlebury Invitational.
