The Lyons return to action on February 22 when they compete at the UMass Horse Show.
Mount Holyoke (6-4; dual meet) were paced by a four-win effort from sophomore Cathleen Pruden (Raleigh, N.C.) last week as the Lyons defeated Smith, 166-133 in dual meet action. MHC is now idle until February 21 when it heads to Worcester to compete in the 2014 NEWMAC Championships, hosted by WPI. Action at the meet runs through Sunday, the 23rd.
The #23 squash team (8-9) sent two players to the Division III National Championships last weekend. Senior captain Randima Ranaweera (Columbo, Sri Lanka) finished as the national runner-up in the A draw, while junior Samantha Rosado (Meriden, Conn.) won the consolation championship of the B draw.
MHC is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Connecticut College at 7pm. The match will also mark Senior Night for the Lyons three graduating seniors. Mount Holyoke wraps up the week on Wednesday in a 6pm match at Amherst.
Junior forward Amber Legare (Chicopee, Mass.) dropped in a game-best 21 points and 18 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Lyons shouldered a 65-51 loss to Babson last Saturday in their only game of the week.
The Lyons (5-16; 2-14 NEWMAC) are back on the court on Wednesday in a 7:30pm start at Coast Guard. MHC concludes the week on Saturday when it hosts Emerson in a 1pm game at the Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium. Links to live stats and video for this week's games can be found HERE.
Sophomore Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.) won the 60-meter dash in a seasons-best time to lead Mount Holyoke to a solid effort at the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT last weekend. MHC is now idle until February 21 when it competes in the New England Division III Championships, hosted by Springfield College. Action at the meet runs through Saturday, the 22nd.
