Following the lead of seventh year head coach Michelle Scecina, the Mount Holyoke basketball team finished the 2010-11 season with an overall record or 7-17 and a league mark of 5-13.

The Lyons were paced by guard Angelica Pascual, who was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team after pouring in a team best 13.5 points per game. She was at her best in the opening game of the Seven Sisters Classic, when she erupted for a program record 37 points in a heartbreaking 62-60 setback against Agnes Scott College. Her seven three-pointers in the game were good for tops in school history. The sophomore was named to the All-Classic Team the following day after leading Mount Holyoke to a 54-51 triumph over Vassar College. She was joined on the squad by junior forward Tricia Chase.

In addition to averaging double digits in the scoring column for the second consecutive season, Pascual also chipped in with 5.3 rebounds per game, 38 assists and 31 steals. She drained 44 shots from beyond the arc and converted 65.8% (50-76) of her free throw attempts. Over the course of the season, she reached double digits in the scoring column 18 times, netting 20 or more points four times.

Chase was enjoying a career year before suffering a season ending injury in early February. The forward collected 8.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per outing from the post. She knocked down a short jumper in the final seconds of overtime to push Mount Holyoke to a thrilling 48-46 triumph over Wellesley College. In doing so, the junior put the finishing touches on her third double-double of the season. 

The Lyons also received solid production from junior guard Christine Chancy. In addition to posting 7.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, the captain also amassed team highs of 52 assists and 41 steals. Her long jumper at the buzzer sealed a 59-57 triumph over Clark University. Earlier in the year, Chancy came off the bench to score 13 points in the second half of Mount Holyoke's 60-57 win at Clark. Her team trailed by 14 points at the break.

They also staged an impressive comeback victory at MIT in the final week of the season. After trailing by 17 points with just over 13 minutes remaining, the Lyons exploded for five three-pointers en route to a 44-39 win. Pascual poured in three treys during the rally.

Mount Holyoke's remaining wins came against the Coast Guard Academy (48-36) and Johnson and Wales University (67-50).
