From Micaela Pierce '20 (field hockey student-athlete and founder)

"After reflecting on my amazing time as a Black female student-athlete at Mount Holyoke College, I wanted to give back and support future student-athletes by helping to develop a space for those from historically underrepresented backgrounds. The goal of the group is to create a place where first-generation and ethnic minority student-athletes can build strong relationships with each other and form a community of support all while sharing their love for sport. I’m excited for new first-year student-athletes to have an additional community when they arrive on campus along with the network of alums that will continue to grow and support the MHC first-generation and ethnic minority student-athletes over the years." - Micaela Pierce '20
