Wellesley Closes Out Perfect Weekend With 61-47 Win Over Agnes Scott

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Nov. 21, 2010) – Sophomore forward Becca Kimball piled up 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists to propel Wellesley College to a 61-47 win over Agnes Scott College in the fourth game of the 2010 Seven Sisters Classic at Mount Holyoke College. The Blue (2-0, 0-0 NEWMAC) closed out the weekend with a perfect 2-0 record.

Kimball shot 8-of-14 from the field and went 4-of-6 from the free throw line. She was named to the All-Classic Team after totaled 48 points over the course of the weekend. Joining her on the squad was first year guard Leslie Leong, who finished with a double-double on 14 points and 10 boards. Sophomores Malia Maier added 16 points for the Blue, who led by as many as 21 points (49-28) midway through the second half.

Agnes Scott (2-1, 0-0 GSAC) was paced by All-Classic Teamers Genefine Sapateh and Lexi Pulice-Farrow, who netted eight points apiece. First year forward Shawna Ford added nine points off the bench. She knocked down all three of her field goal attempts and both her free throws. It was the Scotties' first loss of the 2010-11 campaign. They ended the weekend with a split.
