Under the direction of fourth year head coach Allen Fitzsimmons, the Mount Holyoke squash team posted an overall record of 17-11 in 2011-12. The Lyons finished with a CSA ranking of 14th nationally.

Kathryn Brummer Senior Shara Robertson and sophomore Randima Ranaweera lifted Mount Holyoke to its sixth consecutive Seven Sisters Championship. Both players were named to the All-Tournament Team after the Lyons blanked Wellesley College, Smith College and Vassar College in succession.

Mount Holyoke entered the CSA National Championships seeded sixth seed among Kurtz Cup (B Division) competitors. After falling 8-1 to third-seeded Brown University, the Lyons bounced back with a thrilling 6-3 triumph over seventh-seeded Hamilton College the following day. In doing so, they tied the program record for wins in a season and punched their ticket to the Consolation Championship. They then closed out their season with a 6-3 setback to fifth-seeded Columbia University.

A total of five Lyons ended the year with rankings in the top 150 nationally. Joining Robertson (61) and Ranaweera (70) were sophomore Shaheen Madraswala (88), sophomore Katrina Intal (122) and junior Kathryn Brummer (140).

All five players represented Mount Holyoke at the CSA Individual Championships. Robertson advanced to the Quarterfinal Round of the Holleran Cup with three straight victories.

Over the course of the season, she posted an overall record of 20-10. The Lyons also received outstanding production from Ranaweera and Brummer, who racked up 19 wins apiece.
