PRINCETON, N.J. (Feb. 19, 2011) – The seventh seeded Mount Holyoke College women's squash team suffered a 6-3 setback to third seeded Williams College today in the semifinal round of the 2011 College Squash Association National Championships at Princeton University. First year Shaheen Madraswala and sophomores Tempest Bowden and Kathryn Brummer picked up wins for the Lyons.

As a result of their fourth straight win over the Lyons, the Ephs (13-11) advanced to tomorrow's Kurtz Cup (B Division) Championship. They will face off against top seeded Brown University, which downed Bates College 6-3 in today's other semifinal tilt.

Tempest Bowden Mount Holyoke (14-11) and Bates will meet in the consolation contest tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. In their regular season meeting on January 14, the Bobcats prevailed by a score of 7-2. The two teams also squared off in the same round last season, with Bates holding on for a 5-4 victory. Champions in each of the competition's four subdivisions will be crowned on Sunday.
