THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke hosts Amherst College Friday evening (6:00 p.m.) at the Mount Holyoke Squash Courts. In 17 previous meetings between the programs, the Lord Jeffs own a 13-4 advantage. The Lyons have prevailed in each of the previous four contests between the teams. Last winter, they won by a score of 7-2. MHC Logo THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (13-8) has rolled to four straight wins and has prevailed in six in its last seven matches. The Lyons earned their fifth straight Seven Sisters Championship on Saturday, defeating Smith and Vassar. Shara Robertson and Shaheen Madraswala were each named to the All-Tournament Team. Robertson was also selected as the National College Player of the Week as a result of her performance.

Amherst Logo THE LORD JEFFS: Amherst (14-6) secured fifth place at the NESCAC Championship with its 9-0 victory over Hamilton College on Sunday. After falling 6-3 to Bates College on Saturday, the Lord Jeffs rebounded with an 8-1 triumph over Bowdoin College later that day to set up their fifth place match against Hamilton. They entered the tournament as the fourth seed. Their top three players include Hayley MilbournChandler Lusardi and Allie Dalglish.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will round out its regular season slate versus national power Princeton University tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will then take part in the Women's College Squash Association Team National Championships next weekend. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. All matches will be played at Princeton.
