Squash Set To Host 2011 Pioneer Valley Invitational

SETTING THE SCENE: Twenty-three teams from around the northeast region will take part in the 2011 Pioneer Valley Invitational this weekend. Both men's and women's squads are slated to compete in the event, which is scheduled to begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. The tournament will feature 43 matches and will take place at Amherst College and Smith College in addition to Mount Holyoke. Mount Holyoke will open its weekend against Bates College on Friday at 5:00 p.m. The Lyons will then face off against Columbia University at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday before concluding with a match against Colby College at 4:00 p.m. later that day. Over the past four seasons, they have posted a perfect 16-0 mark at the tournament.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will put the finishing touches on its five match homestand on Wednesday, when it hosts Brown University at 4:00 p.m.
