SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Oct. 5, 2010) – The Clark University women's volleyball team handed Mount Holyoke College a 3-0 loss (25-19, 25-10, 25-16) this evening at the Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium. It was the Cougars seventh straight win over the Lyons.
The hosts were paced by first year outside hitter Martina Kneifel, senior setter Kateryna Kuc, first middle hitter Kristina Weld and sophomore outside hitter Kathryn Brummer, who recorded four kills apiece. Kuc tallied 10 assists, while Brummer posted nine digs.
Mount Holyoke (5-9, 0-5 NEWMAC) will return to action on Saturday, when it hosts the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and Becker College for a tri-match. The Lyons will face off against MCLA at noon and Becker at 4:00 p.m. Clark (5-8, 2-3 NEWMAC) is slated to host Connecticut College on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
