Squash Concludes Action at CSA Individual Nationals

HARTFORD, Conn. (Mar. 2, 2013) – Mount Holyoke College's run at the 2013 CSA Individual National Championships came to an end on Sunday as first year Sherouk Khefagy fell in the semifinals of the Second Round Consolation Round. She battled it out, but fell in five sets at the match, which took place at Trinity College.

Khefagy, who hails from Cairo, Egypt, advanced to today's round after posting two victories during Saturday's action. On Sunday, she face Penn's Chloe Blacker and despite winning her opening set by a 14-12 margin, Blacker battled to 11-8 and 11-6 wins to take the 2-1 advantage.

Battling back, Khefagy won the fourth set by an 11-8 margin to force a fifth, but then fell 11-6 to conclude match play and her rookie season. During the 2012-13 campaign, Khefagy posted a 19-6 overall record, including a 3-2 mark in tournament play.

Khefagy also posted a perfect 3-0 record during play at the Seven Sisters Tournament, as well as the CSA Team National Championships.
