SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College soccer team remained unbeaten with its second tie in a row on Saturday, as the Lyons and the Endicott College Gulls played to a 0-0 draw on the MHC Soccer Field.

Mount Holyoke (2-0-2) played shutdown defense inside its penalty area to hold the Gulls (3-1-2) to 15 shots on goal out of 29 attempts for the game and also recording a team save. Senior Sonia McCollum (Oakland, Calif.), sophomore Schuyler Pettibone (Raleigh, N.C.), junior Jane Harmon (Ashburnham, Mass.) and first-year Ania McMichael (Glastonbury, Conn.) all played key roles in Mount Holyoke's staunch defense. Lyons sophomore goalie Evie Krieg (Frisco, Texas) took care of the rest, making a career-high 14 saves in Mount Holyoke's third shutout of the season.

The game represented Endicott's second tie of the week as well, following a 0-0 draw at Emerson on Wednesday. Mount Holyoke tied 1-1 at Wentworth Institute in its last contest a week ago.

Endicott outshot Mount Holyoke by a 29-4 margin and had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks as well. Mount Holyoke did have a handful of scoring chances of its own, with Endicott goalie Rosalina Caliri making saves on shots by junior Ada Siepmann (Vlotho, Germany) and sophomore Sage Hudson (Washington, D.C.).

The game was the first ever played between the programs.

Mount Holyoke plays at Rhode Island College Monday at 7pm; Endicott will host Babson Tuesday at 4pm.
