Golf Competes at Williams Spring Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. (Apr. 27, 2013) - Led by sophomore Madi Mendiola, the Mount Holyoke College golf team opened action at the 2013 Williams Spring Invitational on Saturday. The Lyons are currently in seventh place with a combined score of 390 after day one, paced overall by Mendiola, who is in sixth place individually.

Mendiola shot a combined 81 on day one to place sixth heading into the final day of action. First year Hannah Lozinski is 33rd overall after posting a 98 on day one, while sophomore Hannah Falvey is 35 with a day one total of 100.

Senior Lee Anglin is 38th with a score of 111, while first year Katie Poulin is 39th with a score of 123.

Overall, host Williams College leads the action with a score of 327. Middlebury is close behind in second (333), while Amherst (350), Vassar (354) and SUNY Cortland (360) round out the top five. Individually, Williams' Georgiana Salant (77) and Middlebury's Keely Levins (77) are tied atop the leader board in first.

Action at the invitational concludes on Sunday.
