Golf Concludes Day 1 at Liberty League Championship

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (Apr. 13, 2013) - Mount Holyoke College is competing in its first-ever Liberty League Golf Championship this weekend at Vassar College Invitational and through the first day of action, the Lyons are currently 10th in the field. Williams leads all teams in the field, while New York University is the top Liberty League team in the field, sitting in fourth.

MHC, which has 418 points overall, is led by sophomore Madi Mendiola. Through the first day, she has a combined score 86 which ranks 24th overall. Classmate Hannah Falvey is second on the team and 41st overall with a score of 98, while first year Hannah Lozinski is 50th with a score of 115.

Senior Lee Anglin is in 52nd with a score of 119, while first year Katie Poulin is 53rd with a tally of 122 through the first round.

Williams' Georgiana Salant leads the overall individual field with a score of 71, while Elaine Tse and Nina Hwang are both five overall and first among Liberty League opponents with a score of 79.

Action concludes at the meet on Sunday morning at the Vassar College Golf Course.
