Golf Currently 5th After Day 1 of Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Day one of action at the 2013 Williams Fall Invitational is in the books and through the First Round, the Mount Holyoke College golf team sits in fifth place overall in the field of 15 teams. The Lyons posted a combined score of 332, while Middlebury currently leads after day one.

Junior captain Madi Mendiola sits in seventh place overall, posting a mark of 77 on the day. First year June Conti wrapped up the First Round in a tie for 15th overall with a score of 80, while classmate Allison Shilling is in a tie for 35th with a score of 87.

Additionally, first year Heeamin Lee is 37th overall with a score of 88, while classmate Amanda Lee is a stroke behind with a score of 89 - good for 39th overall.

Individually, first year Kelly McElreath sits in a tie for 64th overall with a mark of 103, while sophomore Hannah Lozinski is tied for 69th with a score of 107.

Middlebury leads the field after day one with a combined score of 313. The Panthers are followed by host Williams (316), Amherst (317), Ithaca (320) and Mount Holyoke (332). Individually, Amherst's Jamie Gracie is first overall among the field, posting a score of 73 on day one.

Action continues with the Final Round on Sunday at the Taconic Golf Course.
