GENEVA, Ohio -- Mount Holyoke junior Elle Rimando triple jumped 37 feet and 8.75 inches to take 22nd place in the event at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at the SPIRE Institute.

Rimando (Mililani, Hawaii), seeded 20th among 22 competitors, led off her flight with an attempt of 11.50 meters (37'8.75") -- her fourth-best attempt of the season, exceeded only by her three top marks at the UMass Last Chance Meet last week. The mark stood as her best of the day after fouls on her second and third attempts.

Rimando's top mark was the 22nd best in the field, 4 centimeters behind 21st-place Mackenzey Kronberg of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Rimando is Mount Holyoke's first athlete to compete at outdoor nationals since 2015. With 10 seniors among the athletes who placed ahead of her, the path to qualifying and returning in 2026 is clear.

The meet concluded the academic year for Mount Holyoke Athletics. As a Lyons student-athlete, the architectural studies major returns to action with the Mount Holyoke volleyball team in August.
