WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke sophomore Ioanna Tsoni set three program records in a span of 75 minutes at Saturday's MHC-Smith-Wellesley Tri-Meet at Wellesley College, in an instantly legendary performance that led a day full of notable marks by the Lyons.
Tsoni (Athens, Greece) broke her own team records in the 100 hurdles and triple jump and passed teammate Elle Rimando's team record in the long jump as well, taking first place in all three events. Tsoni topped it off by leading off MHC's first-place 4x100 relay squad.
In the 100 hurdles, Tsoni finished in 15.43 seconds, taking .03 off of the team record she set in 2024.
In the long jump, Tsoni sailed 5.72 meters (18'9.25"), 31 centimeters beyond her previous best and 12 centimeters past Rimando's previous team record of 5.60 meters.
In the triple jump, Tsoni added 0.29 meters to the team record she set earlier this season with a top mark of 11.57 meters (37'11.5").
In the 4x100 relay, Tsoni, sophomore Dalia Luckhardt (Cerritos, Calif.), senior Aria Mallare (Chicago, Ill.), and Rimando took first place in 49.22 seconds, becoming the second-fastest 4x100 unit in team history, 0.19 seconds behind the team record from 2002.
