The Mount Holyoke Turf and Track Complex is one of several outdoor facilities located just outside the Kendall Sports & Dance Complex. It features a synthetic multipurpose turf playing field with lights surrounded by an eight lane track with a ten lane straightaway. Though it is used primarily by the College's field hockey, lacrosse, soccer and track and field teams, the $5.9 facility serves a variety of purposes. Included in the facility are a throwing cage and a shot put area. It also features high jump, long jump and pole vault pits. Surrounding the track is a paved fitness path spanning a third of a mile. Its bleacher seating can accomodate approximately 800 people. Included in the complex are two electronic LED scoreboards, a second story press box and a permanent sound system. The press box can accomodate up to 12 people and is open to opposing sports information and media personnel upon request. It is wired for internet access, includes a phone line and has decks for videotaping attached to both ends. Wireless internet is also available. In 2009, the Turf and Track Complex served as home to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey National Championship.

Hours of Operation:

For permission to use the facility, please contact Associate Athletics Director Bardee Sadlier (413-538-2849). Priority is given to varsity and club teams (contests/practices), physical education classes and other special events.
