Two Mount Holyoke Divers Compete at 2022 NCAA Division III Northeast Regionals; Murphy Qualifies for 2022 Swimming and Diving National Championship

Northampton, Mass. - February 25-26, 2022 - Two Mount Holyoke College divers competed at the 2022 NCAA Division III Northeast Regionals, hosted by Smith College on Friday and Saturday where senior Kathryn Murphy (Fairport, N.Y.) qualified for the 2022 Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. 

Starting out the day on Friday for Mount Holyoke on the 11-dive one-meter board was Murphy who took third overall by notching a score of 413.90. This qualifies Murphy for the 2022 Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships hosted in Indianapolis, Ind. First-year Sophie Simon (Menlo Park, Calif.) followed finishing in 14th place by posting a score of 343.10.

On the second day of competition, Murphy claimed fifth place in the 11-dive three-meter board by recording a mark of 396.00, while Simon placed 14th with a score of 344.40.
