Murphy Collects NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week Honors

South Hadley, Mass. - November 15, 2021 - Senior Kathryn Murphy (Fairport, N.Y.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Murphy, a senior Biology and Politics double major at Mount Holyoke College, helped lead the Lyons to a 165-124 win over Westfield State this past Saturday. Murphy started the day with a victory on the one-meter board, producing a nationally-qualifying mark of 262.12, before taking first overall on the three-meter board, registering another nationally-qualifying mark of 265.64. 

Murphy and the Lyons will look to continue their early-season success on Saturday, November 20 as Mount Holyoke travels to NEWMAC-foe Wellesley College for a 1 p.m. meet.
