Five recent track and field graduates named to CSC Academic All-District Team

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Five recently graduated student-athletes from the Mount Holyoke College cross country and track and field programs received Division III Academic All-District honors on Wednesday from College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA.

Emma Doyle (West Lebanon, N.H.), Eliza Butler (Hartsdale, N.Y.), Devan Ravino (West Kingston, R.I.), Sara Robillard (Delran, N.J.), and Lucy Sternberg (Stonington, Conn.) were all selected to the team, based upon the outstanding cumulative grade point averages they maintain: each one above 3.50 on a 4.00 scale. 

Doyle, a biology major who maintained a 4.0 cumulative grade point average through the fall 2022 semester, ranks among the top 10 Lyons all-time in five indoor and outdoor throwing events, including second in the outdoor shot put.

Butler, a four-year middle distance and cross country runner, also majored in biology and maintained a 3.84 grade point average through the fall 2022 semester.

Ravino, a four-year middle distance and cross country runner who ranks eighth all-time at Mount Holyoke in the indoor 800 meters (2:25.05), majored in art history and economics while maintaining a 3.85 grade point average through the fall 2022 semester.

Robillard, a four-year sprinter and jumper, majored in anthropology and maintained a 3.75 grade point average through the fall 2022 semester.

Sternberg, a sprinter and jumper who ranks ninth all-time at Mount Holyoke in the 60-meter dash (8.55) and 10th in the triple jump (9.53m), majored in physics and computer science, and maintained a 3.83 grade point average through the fall 2022 semester.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in athletic competition. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 28.
