BOSTON -- The three runners from the Mount Holyoke College track and field team racing at the Dave Hemery Valentine Invitational all had successful outings Friday at Boston University, with one Lyon moving onto the team's top 10 all-time performance list.
Sophomore Kim Beaver (Agawam, Mass.) became Mount Holyoke's eighth-fastest all-time in the 800 meters, running a time of 2:25.43 which also qualifies her to compete at the New England Division III Indoor Championships in two weeks. Beaver leaped over former Lyons Anne Richtmyer (2000), Rocio Perez-Salas (2022) and Sarah Clifton (2000) onto the program's top-10 list.
Senior Devan Ravino (West Kingston, R.I.) also ran a strong time in the 800 (2:27.63), just off her own personal best in the event and just shy of qualifying for New Englands.
Finally, sophomore Tessa Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) ran the 5,000 meters and qualified for New Englands with a time of 18:17.60.
The majority of the Mount Holyoke track and field team will compete Saturday at the Middlebury Field & Track Meet, a non-scoring meet starting at 11am. (VIDEO / LIVE RESULTS).
