Nemivant Earns Fourth NEWMAC Diver of the Week Honor This Season

South Hadley, Mass. - February 10, 2020 - For the fourth time this season, senior Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.) of the Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team was recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), as the Chemistry major was named the league's Women's Diver of the Week, announced on Monday afternoon.

Nemivant, a standout senior at Mount Holyoke College, won both diving boards in a dual meet with Smith College this past weekend. On the one-meter, the senior won with a nationally-qualifying mark of 268.64 before taking first on the three-meter with a score of 264.40.

Nemivant and the Lyons will now gear up for the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held at MIT beginning on Thursday, February 20.
