Seventeen Winter Student-Athletes Earn NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Recognition

Boston, Mass. - February 25, 2020 - Seventeen Mount Holyoke College winter student-athletes were recognized for their dedication to both athletics and academics by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) office, earning Academic All-Conference honors following the 2019-20 season.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2019 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team had 14 student-athletes recognized, including: Naomi Brown, Natalie Burkett, Adrienne Corr, Shloka Gidwani, Riley Hicks, Katie Kolozsvari, Camila Moreno, Tamara Mukulu, Kathryn Murphy, Samantha Nemivant, Sarah Ratzlaff, Laraiba Seibou, Augustine Westaway and Jane Zhang.

Representing the basketball team with NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors was: Maria-Lucia Delgado, Katlyn Grover and Kelly Lynch. 

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
