Mount Holyoke College Announces 2020 Athletics Hall of Fame Class

South Hadley, Mass. - January 7, 2020 - The Department of Physical Education and Athletics at Mount Holyoke College is pleased to announce the five inductees into the Athletics Hall of Fame, which will occur on Friday, May 22, 2020.

The five inductees include (left to right in above photo):

  • Langhan Dee '04 - Track and Field / Soccer - Athlete
  • Mary Mazzio '83 - Rowing - Athlete
  • Penny Schneider Calf '68 - Field Hockey - Advocate
  • Katie Herrold '00 - Swimming - Athlete
  • Elizabeth Topham Kennan '60 - Riding - Advocate

In existence since the Fall of 2013, the Mount Holyoke College Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor athletes, coaches, administrators and those who have made outstanding contributions that have had a significant impact on the Mount Holyoke College athletic program. More details about each of the inductees and their accomplishments will be released periodically during the Spring Semester in anticipation of the event in May.

The induction ceremony will be held on the evening of Friday, May 22, 2020. In a new initiative to reunite teammates and connect teams across generations, Mount Holyoke College's Department of Physical Education and Athletics and Alumnae Association are also hosting sport reunions for rowing, swimming and diving and riding as part of Reunion II from May 22-24, 2020.
