Mount Holyoke College Athletics to Air "Instant Classics" in April

South Hadley, Mass. - April 8, 2020 - During the month of April, the Mount Holyoke College Department of Athletics will be airing "Instant Classics", highlighting some of the top moments in Lyons' history over the past five years.

The "Instant Classics" will be aired on Thursday's beginning on April 9. View the schedule below:

Mount Holyoke College Lacrosse vs. Smith - Senior Celebration - Friday, March 13, 2020

Following the cancellation of spring seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mount Holyoke College and Smith College lacrosse programs came together at the MHC Turf and Track Complex on Friday, March 13 and played a game where the score was not kept, but the everlasting memories were made for the seniors of each team. Prior to the contest, seniors from both teams were recognized for their respective careers, as they were able to suit up for one last game.

Mount Holyoke College Field Hockey vs. Babson - NEWMAC Championship Semifinals - Saturday, November 7, 2015

Junior captain Ruvimbo Mushavi (Harare, Zimbabwe) scored 4:53 into the second overtime as fifth-seeded Mount Holyoke College upset top-seeded Babson College, 1-0, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) field hockey tournament semifinal at MacDowell Field. With the victory, Mount Holyoke advanced to the conference championship game for the third-consecutive season and the fourth time in the last five years.

Mount Holyoke College Field Hockey vs. Wellesley - NEWMAC Championship - Sunday, November 8, 2015

Junior goalkeeper Liz DiCesare (Westford, Mass.) finished with 19 saves and classmate Charlotte Wagner (West Chester, Pa.) scored early in the first half and once more in the shootout as fifth-seeded Mount Holyoke College outlasted second-seeded Wellesley College, 2-1, to win the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament Championship at Babson College's MacDowell Field. With the win, Mount Holyoke claimed its first conference tournament title since 2003, and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Mount Holyoke College Soccer vs. Springfield - "One Shot, One Goal" - Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Senior forward Ashleigh Hartsock scored mid-way through the first overtime session to lift the Mount Holyoke College soccer team to a 1-0 win at Springfield College in NEWMAC play. With just 4:39 to play in the overtime session, the Pride saw its keeper Ciara Boucher (Manchester, Conn.) come way out of the cage to play a ball that was cleared from the MHC defensive end. An errant pass to one of the Springfield defenders saw Hartsock win the race to the loose ball and fire in a shot from 40-yards out that rolled in for the goal. Springfield College held a 35-1 shot advantage in the contest.
