Nemivant Claims NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week Honors For Third Time This Season

South Hadley, Mass. - January 21, 2020 - Following an impressive performance for the Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team this past weekend, senior Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.) was once again recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week, announced by the conference offices on Tuesday morning.

Nemivant earns NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week honors for the third time this season following a pair of nationally-qualifying scores, which landed the Chemistry major a pair of individual victories at the MHC Invitational this past weekend. On Saturday night, Nemivant posted a nationally-qualifying 11-dive score of 418.15 on the one-meter, emerging victorious, before producing a nationally-qualifying score of 455.10 on the three-meter on Sunday, finishing first overall. Her contributions over the weekend led to the Lyons finishing third overall at the two-day meet.

Nemivant and the Lyons will return to action on Saturday, January 25 as they will host their senior meet versus Simmons at 12 p.m. It will also be the Mount Holyoke College SAAC "Game of the Week" hosted by the rowing team.
