Nemivant Receives NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week Honors Following Season Opener

South Hadley, Mass. - October 28, 2019 - Senior Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.) of the Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team opened the 2019-20 season with an impressive performance at the Smith College Relays, as she earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week honors, announced by the conference offices on Monday afternoon.

Nemivant, a senior Chemistry major at Mount Holyoke College, won both the one-meter and three-meter boards at the Smith College Relays on Saturday. Nemivant produced a score of 239.47 on the one-meter to take first overall, before delivering a score of 237.59 on the three-meter board, also good for first.

Nemivant and the Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving program will resume action on Saturday, November 9 when the Lyons host the University of New England at 1 p.m. in the Mount Holyoke College Natatorium.
