MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- The Mount Holyoke College indoor track and field team did not have its full team competing at the Middlebury Field and Track Meet on Saturday, but many competing Lyons recorded personal-best marks, including two performances that made changes to the program's all-time top-10 performance list.

"It was a great day for us," said head coach Jay Hartshorn. "Every single runner on the track today had a PR [personal record], and several of them were really big ones."

PR's and other top marks for Mount Holyoke included:

  • Junior Tessa Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) took first place among 14 competitors in the 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 17:57.76, which keeps her ranked fourth in team history in the event. Lancaster's previous PR in the 5,000 was 18:10.85.
  • Junior Greta Trapp (La Crosse, Wis.) finished the 1,000 meters in 3:09.99, thereby jumping onto Mount Holyoke's all-time top 10 performance list in ninth place. Junior Olivia Johnson (Mount Desert, Maine) took 10th place (3:17.41).
