Four Lyons selected for NEWMAC Fall All-Sportsmanship honors

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference announced its Fall 2023 All-Sportsmanship selections on Tuesday, including four student-athletes from Mount Holyoke College.

The NEWMAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport, that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. The honorees, selected by their coaching staff, have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette.

From Mount Holyoke, senior Shannon Breen (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) was selected from the soccer team; first-year Addy Budliger (Middlesex, Vt.) from cross country; first-year Serena Li (Scarsdale, N.Y.) from volleyball; and senior Amanda Thibodeau (Lebanon, N.H.) from field hockey.
