THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke rounds out its home slate versus longtime rival Smith College Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m.) at the Mount Holyoke Natatorium. In 27 previous meetings between the programs, the Pioneers own a 21-6 advantage. THE LYONS:  In addition to posting victories over Westfield State University, Western Connecticut State University, Clark University and Simmons College, Mount Holyoke (4-3) has also secured first place at the Regis College Invitational thus far this season. The Lyons have been paced by newcomer Lauren Williams, who has figured in on 27 wins over her first 10 collegiate competitions. Madeline Magee, Sin Seanne Ng, Lydia Bowers, Nora Cunningham, Allison Burhoe and Michelle Kroll have also enjoyed productive seasons. Mount Holyoke swimmers have broken three program records this year. 

THE PIONEERS: Smith (3-2) rolled to a 216-65 triumph over Husson University when it last competed on Saturday. It was the Pioneers' third win of the season. They have also picked up victories over Elms College (141-121) and Westfield State University (160-125). Smith grabbed third place at the Seven Sisters Championship two weeks ago. It also secured a third place finish at the Betty Spears Relays early on in the season.

NEXT UP: Both squads are slated to compete in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Championships in two weeks. The competition will take place at Mount Holyoke from Friday, February 18 - Sunday, February 20.
