BABSON PARK, Mass. (March 3, 2011) – For the third time in five years, the Mount Holyoke College women's swimming and diving team has earned the NEWMAC Sportsmanship Award. The league office recently announced all of its postseason award winners for the 2010-11 season. Mount Holyoke also received the Sportsmanship Award in 2007 and 2008.

After leading MIT to its first ever NEWMAC Championship, Dawn Dill was named the league's Coach of the Year. Clark University's Laura O'Tell was tabbed as the NEWMAC Diving Coach of the Year after helping junior Eileen Garcia sweep both boards at the Championship meet for the second year in a row. As a result of her performance, Garcia repeated as NEWMAC Diver of the Year. Following the Championship, Springfield College's Kellie Pennington was voted as the Swimmer and Rookie of the Year by the league's coaches. The first year won three individual events and also figured in on a pair of relay victories.

Mount Holyoke closed out its 2010-11 campaign with a dual meet record of 5-3. The Lyons hosted the NEWMAC Championship from February 18-20.
