Baldwin and Robb Collect NEWMAC Field Hockey All-Conference Honors

South Hadley, Mass. - November 9, 2021 - Seniors Abby Baldwin (Florence, Mass.) and Margaret Robb (Summit, N.J.) of the Mount Holyoke College field hockey team have been selected to the 2021 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference team, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Baldwin and Robb were two of 11 student-athletes within the NEWMAC that earned Second Team All-Conference recognition, as Mount Holyoke College was one of six teams in the league that had more than one student-athlete recognized with All-Conference accolades.

Baldwin, a senior midfielder and Psychology major at Mount Holyoke College, was one of the most versatile midfielders in the conference during the 2021 season and started in 13 of the games that she played in this year. Baldwin finished the year with one goal and one assist for three points, including a marker against league rival Smith College on October 5.

Robb, a senior midfielder and Neuroscience and Behavior major at Mount Holyoke College, put forth an impressive final season in blue and white as the Summit, N.J. native recorded a team-best 18 points on seven goals and four assists, while also collecting 67 shots, which ranked No. 5 in the NEWMAC. Robb's most impressive game of the season came in a 4-1 win over Clark University, as the senior notched a goal and two helpers en route to victory for the Lyons.

This now marks 62 total NEWMAC All-Conference honors that have been collected by student-athletes under the direction of head coach Andy Whitcomb, as the Lyons have had at least one student-athlete recognized in the 24 seasons that Whitcomb has been at the helm of the field hockey program at Mount Holyoke.
