Basketball places four student-athletes on CSC Academic All-Region team

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Four student-athletes from the Mount Holyoke College basketball team received Division III Academic All-District honors Tuesday from College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA.

Junior Isabel Cordes (Yorktown, Va.), sophomore Amrit Khinda (Van Nuys, Calif.), junior Nicole Lutalo (Kampala, Uganda), and junior Emily Mock (Bangor, Maine) were all selected to the team, based upon the outstanding cumulative grade point averages they maintain: each one above 3.50 on a 4.00 scale. Cordes is a geology major at Mount Holyoke. Khinda majors in politics and computer science, while Lutalo majors in both politics and sociology. Mock also carries a double major, in biology and Spanish.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
