Induni named NEWMAC Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- First-year midfielder Anna Induni was named NEWMAC Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 30, as announced Monday by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.

Induni (Manchester, N.H.) was key to a 3-0 week for the Lyons, who defeated Nichols on Tuesday, Eastern Connecticut State on Thursday and Wheaton (Mass.) on Saturday. Induni scored two goals in the Nichols and ECSU wins, and added the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 win at Wheaton, Mount Holyoke's first conference win of the season. That score lifted Induni into the team scoring lead with nine goals on the year, capping an excellent rookie campaign.

Induni is Mount Holyoke field hockey's first NEWMAC Athlete of the Week since Oct. 21, 2019, when Laurissa Montigny was named NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week.
