Kenyon (1-3, 0-0 NCAC) struck for what proved to be the winner just 6:35 into the contest, when junior forward Caddie Durrett scored off a feed from senior midfielder Kelly Schorling. After receiving the pass, Durrett blasted a shot into the left side of the net from just under 10 yards away.

The Ladies pushed their lead to 2-0 in the 12th minute, when a cross by midfielder Lisa Vaughan deflected off the head of a Mount Holyoke defender into the goal.

First year forward Alexa Vasios then placed a shot into the upper left corner in the waning minutes of the first half to put things out of reach. Classmate Katie Blake was credited with the assist on the play.

Mount Holyoke's (0-1, 0-0 NEWMAC) best chance came in the 87th minute, when first year goalkeeper Lauren Wolfe made a save near the crossbar on a header by junior forward Margaret Hanmer. Sophomore midfielder Veronica Farmer had two shots for the Lyons.

Kenyon finished with large advantages in shots (33-3) and corner kick chances (6-0). Senior Kat Powers got the start between the pipes for the Ladies. She made one save before giving way to Wolfe, who also stopped one shot. At the other end, senior Elaine Harvey turned away 13 shots in 80 minutes played. She was relieved by first year Emily Shank, who made three saves in the remaining 10 minutes.
