Squash's Lara Granados Named 2019-20 CSA Scholar Athlete

New York, N.Y. - April 1, 2020 - Mount Holyoke College's Nicole Lara Granados (Bronx, N.Y.) was recently honored for her commitment to both academics and athletics, as the junior was recognized by the College Squash Association (CSA) as a Women's Scholar Athlete.

The Scholar-Athlete Award (varsity team players) and Academic Recognition Award (club team players) are granted to juniors or seniors who have played on the team throughout their college career, participated in the majority of the team's matches in the top 10 of the lineup during the season, and achieved a high academic standing at their institution.

Lara Granados, who was honored at the 2020 National Collegiate Women's Team Championships, was a valuable member of the Lyons once coming back from a semester abroad in the Fall and joining the team in January. The junior had four wins during the spring semester, including victories over Catherine Adams from Bowdoin, Justine Zaki of Bard, Sharon Yu from Wellesley and Charlotte Hoffberger of Bucknell.

CSA Scholar Athletes embody the values of the association, achieving a high level of play on court while excelling in the classroom.
