WORCESTER, Mass. - Day three of action at the 2019 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships has concluded and the Mount Holyoke College squad saw several outstanding performances on the day. The Lyons have compiled 181 total points, paced by a consolation championship effort from sophomore Jacqueline Park in the 100-yard backstroke.

Park opened the day with a 17th-place preliminary swim of 1:01.58 in the 100-back. She came back in the evening session to swim a 1:01.72 - good for 18th overall in the consolation finals. Park also helped the 200-yard medley relay take 10th overall in the championship finals. With a time of 1:56.72, Park, rookie Adrienne Corr and sophomore Naomi Brown and Tamara Mukulu combined for the final mark. The Lyons 'B' relay also had a solid effort, finishing 18th overall while competing in the consolation finals. Junior Caitlyn Richmond, rookie Emma Sullivan, sophomore Ashton Bliss and senior Kate Flaherty comprised the B relay.

Brown also took 27th overall in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.29, while also earning 37th in the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 2:05.79. Sophomore Riley Hicks also finished well in the 200-free, placing 38th with a time of 2:05.95. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Sullivan was 37th with a mark of 1:16.89, while rookie Gigi Picard was right behind in 38th with a time of 1:17.64.

MIT continues to lead the women's team leaders following day three, posting a combined 851 points. Wheaton College is second with 627 points, while Coast Guard has 486 points. Wellesley is fourth overall with 451 points, while Springfield rounds out the top five with 402 points.

Action at the 2019 championships concludes on Sunday. Prelims get underway at 10am, while the finals begin at 6pm.
