Conti Named Liberty League Performer of the Week

TROY, N.Y. - The Liberty League has announced its weekly performers and Mount Holyoke College student-athlete June Conti has been recognized. She was named the Performer of the Week in golf after helping the Lyons to a fourth-place finish at the fall-concluding Ann S. Batchelder Invitational at Wellesley.

Conti, a sophomore out of Amenia, N.Y., finished in a tie for fourth overall and first among Liberty League golfers at the Batchelder. She posted a combined score of 158 at the event, including a 75 on day one and an 83 on day two.

This is the first weekly honor of the season for Conti, who has a scoring average of 82.40 through 10.0 rounds over five events. Among her top performances, in addition to Wellesley, came at the NYU Invitational where she was 15th overall with combined score of 161. She also finished 14th at the Middlebury Invitational.

Last season, the former Miss Porter's School standout appeared in all eight tournaments, playing in 16.0 rounds for a scoring average of 82.25. She had a number of outstanding finishes, including ninth overall (79-83-162) at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational, fifth (80-75-155) at Williams Fall Invitational and fourth (87-81-168) at the Liberty League Championship. In addition to four Liberty League Rookie of the Week awards, Conti was an All-Liberty League First Team honoree and the conference's Rookie of the Year.

The Lyons return to action in the spring.
