Golf Concludes Fall Season; Finishes 4th at Batchelder Invite

WELLESLEY, Mass. - The Mount Holyoke College golf team concluded its fall season on Sunday afternoon, finishing fourth of nine teams at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational, hosted by Wellesley College.

Leading the way was sophomore June Conti (Amenia, N.Y./Miss Porter's School), who finished fourth overall. She posted a 75 on day one and capped it with an 83 on day two for a combined score of 158. Senior captain Madi Mendiola (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo) finished 12th overall, posting a combined score of 164. She had an 85 in the opening round and concluded with a 79 in the final round.

Sophomore Heeamin Lee (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Brookline) finished in 19th at the meet, shooting an 81 on day one and an 88 on day two for an overall score of 169. ClassmateAllison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall)  had an opening round score of 85 and shot an 89 on day two for a score of 174 - good for 21st overall.

Rounding out the action for the Lyons was sophomore  Kelly McElreath, who had a score of 101 on day one and posted a score of 96 on day two to place 38th overall with a 197.

Williams College captured victory at the meet with an overall score of 624 (321-303). NYU finished second with a 638 (325-313), followed by Middlebury (337-319--656), Mount Holyoke (326-339--665) and Amherst (351-323--674).
