Golf Posts Dual Match Win Over Hamilton

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The Mount Holyoke College golf team kicked-off it's spring training trip in style on Tuesday, posting a victory over Hamilton College at the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club. The Lyons, who posted a score of 348 on the afternoon, saw two players lead the way.

Senior captain Madi Mendiola (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo) and sophomore June Conti (Amenia, N.Y./Miss Porter's School) each posted a score of 80 to lead the field. Sophomore Amanda Lee (Windsor, Conn./Ethel Walker School) had a score of 92, while classmate and captain Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) posted a 96.

The match against Hamilton was the first for the Lyons since October 12th when the squad placed fourth overall at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational at Wellesley.

Mount Holyoke will continue to train in Florida through the remainder of the spring break week and will next hit the links on April 11-12 at the Vassar Invitational in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
