What made you choose Mount Holyoke?
I chose Mount Holyoke because of the people that make up the community. When I stayed overnight with a future teammate, I saw the energy and enthusiasm of the athletic program as well as the strong academic program. That visit helped me realize that I too wanted to be a part of the Mount Holyoke community. In addition, I also really value going to a historically women's college.

What is your most memorable moment as a NEWMAC student-athlete?
Oh definitely our cross country NEWMAC conference championships in 2018! It was a Nor'easter and we were all covered head to toe in layers. Between the rain, wind, and mud, I don't think I've ever been so cold or wet in my life but what an iconic race. And more importantly, it was really exciting to see all of our hard work pay off as our team jumped from 11th place the previous year to 6th place!

What do you enjoy most about being a Division III Student-Athlete?
I really appreciate the way the lessons we learn on our team - about teamwork, goal setting, drive, discipline - carry over into the rest of our lives. I also find that setting aside time each day to work hard alongside my teammates helps me feel more focused when tackling academics.

Do you have a favorite event or matchup with a fellow NEWMAC institution that you always look forward to every year?
Although there are usually a bunch of teams at our competitions in cross country and track, I always love when we compete against Smith and Wellesley! Love to see that friendly competition with our fellow Seven Sisters!

Can you give us a brief description of your major and why you chose it?
I am drawn to Sociology because it helps me better understand the world, particularly systems of inequality. I also really enjoy studying French.

Do you have any future plans you want to share?
To be honest, I'm not totally sure what the future holds but I'm excited for the journey anyways!

Are you apart of any groups/clubs on campus you would want to share with us?
I am one of our cross country representatives on SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee). As chair and a member of the Programming committee, we mainly focus on NCAA legislation. My favorite part is working on the best way to explain and present the legislation to our SAAC and individual teams.

Any additional information you would want to share with us to release to our viewers? Hidden talents, fun fact, favorite TV show, favorite music before a game etc...
Superstitious fun fact: I wear the same avocado socks for every competition!
