WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College junior Maddy Sewell repeated as NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week on Tuesday, following her career-best winning performances over the weekend at the Sisters Invitational.

Sewell (Scottsdale, Ariz.) took first place in both 1-meter and 3-meter diving to lead the Lyons to a close runner-up finish among five teams at the meet, which took place Saturday and Sunday at the MHC Natatorium.

Sewell notched career-high scores on 10 dives at 1 meter (456.20 points) and 3 meters (469.65 points) to earn first place in both events. She remains undefeated against opponents this season.

Sewell also easily outperformed her scores from the last time she won NEWMAC Diver of the Week honors on Dec. 5. At the Dec. 3 Don Richards Invitational at RIT, Sewell scored 409.15 points at 1 meter and 415.45 points on the 3-meter board.

"Maddy had two good performances [in Wednesday's tri-meet] at Trinity, but came back with corrections she was able to apply quickly that led to two great performances on the boards this weekend," said Mount Holyoke diving coach Rachel Araujo. "Coming back from winter break, she's been training really hard and is starting to get some upgrades ready for championships as well as fine tuning some of her existing dives. We're really excited to see what the next few weeks will bring!"
