WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Three-time All-American Mount Holyoke swimming star Cathleen Pruden '16 was named to the Women's Swimming and Diving 25 Year All-NEWMAC team on June 21, as part of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference's celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Pruden, now the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach at Trinity University in San Antonio, won All-America honors in both the 400- and 200-yard individual medley as a Lyon, including a third-place finish in the 400 IM at the 2016 NCAA Championships. She was twice named NEWMAC Swimmer of the Year, in 2015 and 2016, and claimed eight First Team All-NEWMAC honors, before capping her career by winning the Laurie Priest Scholar-Athlete Award.

The 37-member Women's Swimming and Diving 25 Year All-NEWMAC Team was voted on by current swimming and diving coaches and sports information directors at the conference's 10 member institutions. Voters were asked to rank student-athletes and were not allowed to vote for members or coaches from their own institution. To be eligible for the 25th anniversary team, student-athletes must have been recognized on the NEWMAC First-Team All-Conference team at least twice, and/or earned Athlete of the Year honors.
